I went out to the porch to check on the dehydrator progress. A movement out the back door caught my attention.
The garden must have become boring - the turkey's had gone walk-a-bout. After the 200-foot trek from the garden, they were checking out the flowers and other things of turkey-interest.

Around the cabin, to the front door, scoping out the lawn chairs for possible roosting potential.
They also put Jetta up a tree (who knew turkeys chased cats...) then cornered her under the wagon when she finally ventured down. I finally took pity (in between laughing) on the poor cat and put her indoors - she was rather traumatized, SHE usually does the chasing of birds...
With some coaxing, they sauntered back to the pen, leaving only...
a few pieces of evidence they had ever been any place else all afternoon.

They also left "calling cards" all over the place - it wasn't hard to figure out where they had been.
I bet they didn't know that turkey season has just started...and they really really look like their wild cousins...
