It's S-NOW joke....

Let's see...what day is it? Oh ya, it's Oct. 10. Not yet Halloween.
It snowed this morning.
NO LIE.
Recognize that lower limb? The last time you saw it, it had about 10 multi-colored tie-dyed punks perched on it...

OK, it didn't snow THAT much. That's just a reminder of what's coming. (that photo was from Dec. 10, last year) The flakes didn't stick this morning, they just fluttered around, hovering little white teasers, little mini-ghosts of snowfalls past...

It's not unusual to have snow before Halloween. Just to be sure we are ready, Chef J and Lee started the decorations...cute, eh?
It wasn't that long ago, just a few short weeks, when that windowsill was graced by a summery boquet.

Ah, the memories from a very short, very cool summer (only used the AC twice, for two hours - that is a VERY COOL summer for Wisconsin) - to sum it all up:

...the last weinie roast of the summer. Just a few weeks ago.
Now the cabin coat pegs are crowded with puffy winter coats and snowpants, the basket by the bench is piled with stocking hats and thick gloves, a bag stuffed with scarves hangs by the door.
Yep.
It snowed.

That's really pretty hard to believe, living in this mild climate here in OR! It's beautiful though.
