Fourth of July

If we were to do a poll, celebrating the Fourth of July would have almost the same format anywhere in the country - friends and family gatherings; tables groaning with potluck food; barbeques manned by the manly, searing-singeing-smoking hotdogs, chicken, hamburgers and maybe a few shrimp on the barbie; kids let off the leash while adults kick back and really relax for a change; and of course, all the "safe", and depending on where you live (like not in town)not-so-safe off-the-ground fireworks the "boys" (of all ages and sizes) can muster.
That's pretty much how our Independence Day Party looked, smelled and sounded! Throw in a big swimming pond, a 4-wheeler, some deer, and extra sun-block.
A big house and yard out in the middle of nowhere is the perfect place for a party! Good friends are such a blessing.

Brent was the official Master of the Barbeque -
Fresh from the Wright Fryer Flock - chicken breasts that were succulent, smoky and seasoned to perfection - wipe your drool off the screen, please.
The kid herd spent a good part of the day on the pond -
Now doesn't this look like the PERFECT way to enjoy a day off the usual routine?!

More to come - when I've caught up on my sleep....

That honestly made my mouth water...I want to try some of that chicken! Wish I had one of those hammocks! Looks like you all had a great day.
