Fourth of July - Oh My!

Picture in your mind a moist, densely textured, vanilla infused, cream colored, from-scratch cake


slathered with a thick (we're talkin' about an inch here) vanilla cream cheese butter frosting that actually doesn't need the cake - just a spoon - a BIG spoon...

decked out with fresh patriotic blue berries and tartly succulent raspberries...
and you may come close to what we scarfed up for dessert on the Fourth.
We made two. And quietly saved one in the frig for the Fifth.

Now that's MY kind of fireworks!
