And a mighty cold day, too. The coldest yet. Negative 29 locally, not counting the wind chill. You know how the Eskimos have 29 words to describe snow...well, I've been hearing some others around here lately (oh my!)
The Kodak moments strike at inopportune times. Right in the middle of breakfast prep, seems to be a good time...
This mornings subject was the frozen tundra outside the kitchen/dining room window.

Carrie may be in sunny Arizona, but her warm heart remains with us in the form of her yummy cinnamon roll bread - the best toast ever!
All pictures were taken through the windows. No foot was set outdoors.
I may not have lived here all my life - but I catch on quickly.
PS I am having problems with the bloggersite, not sure what's going on yet. Haven't been able to post all week, pics won't upload. These four, somehow made it through. Will keep trying.

I remember the Montana winter of either '68 or '69 when the temperature registered -60 degrees. Those headbolt heaters (which folks in the Northwest can't even identify) are the only thing that keep things going. I also remember my year going to college in the Twin Cities and it got frightfully cold. It was a life and death endeavor just to walk across campus. What I remember most is that Midwest cold is damp and penetrates more than Montana cold. Hang in there - - daffodil bulb babies are up here in the Northwest which means you are only about six months behind us:).
You probably need sunglasses for all that WHITE!!! We used the air conditioner in our car today - yep, got up to at least 75! Still wondering if we are in the same hemisphere or not???? Brrrrr. Makes me cold to think about you back there!
