The big squeeze!

Remember that cute little orange tree in the back yard? Much to my dismay, it had to be harvested, or lose the oranges to gradual rot or drying up, which ever hit first -so while friends were visiting from the Las Vegas area, the harvest commenced!

Good thing the tree isn't one of the tall ones like so many in neighboring yards. It only took one cinder block to reach the highest oranges. And a biggggggg stretch!

Not counting all the oranges I had already eaten, we figured about 50 pounds. Multiply that by about a million trees planted in Phoenix area yards, and they better hope they don't have an earthquake - the place would be awash in orange juice.
