Some of our neighbors go south for the winter. Pansies.
I suppose, since I seem to be knitting slippers and scarves for everyone in the family, I could alter some patterns - wonder if I could make 5-fingered gloves into 3-toed slippers - hmmmm.
And itty-bitty scarves wouldn't take NEARLY as much time to knit - but I'd have to use size 2 needles instead of size 13 - ACK!

Snowbirds look a lot different here in Arizona! Love ya, Kathy (a rose in the desert)
Does this make anyone else nervous? I wonder how many children have been traumatized by having such a sign printed in front of their home...
Good morning!
Winter on the Oregon coast is the best time to experience the power of the ocean - we can count on some wild action where the mouth of Tillamook Bay meets the Pacific, especially during a high tide pushed by a big storm with high winds. Awesome!
Homemade
Nothing cooks like cast iron - those old black "dutch oven" pots work as well in the oven as over a camp fire. We ejoyed a delicious meal of roasted cornish hens with winter vegetables...a tasty pot of lovin' on a cold winter day!
After a heart attack and a bout with colon cancer, I started fine tuning my eating choices. Over the past three years I've gradually moved closer and closer to the foods that seem to make my body happiest.
Eating raw has been, and continues to be, a quest that I enjoy and appreciate.
From A to Z, the plant world nourishes me - heart and soul!
